Dear Viewers,
I am Kennedy B Holley, KBH, a Memphis based visual artist. I received my BFA in Studio Art from the University of Memphis in May of 2021. Oil paint is my medium of choice to covey the deep emotions that live inside of me. Often using repurposed materials, sustainability is an important part of my artistic practice. My interest in art making began in high school when I was encouraged to take gifted art classes by my art teacher sophomore year. Finding that art making is the best outlet to express my truest self, I was led down the path of pursuing an art degree. Since then my artwork has been shown and sold at local events and venues around the city since 2018, including my first solo show at Stock&Belle, 387 S Main St. for all of May, 2022. Last year I took on the role of curator at Stock&Belle, selecting artists for month-long shows from March to October which I am continuing to do this year. |
