trash a day

I drew trash every day from January 1 to June 30, 2026.

At the beginning of 2026, I challenged myself to draw one piece of trash I came across organically in my environment every day. Not having to go very far to find my subjects, the work is largely confined to my townhome complex and the places I frequent in everyday life.

The project became an exercise in observation and documentation, recording the litter that has casually become a normal part of our everyday landscape.

These drawings laid the foundation for We Were Here. The gallery below includes the documented drawings from the series.
